In 2023, the head of the enterprise, Mariam Abisheva, carried out work on legalizing the landfill, bringing permits into compliance, since the landfill had been idle for a number of years. For about six months, fires were eliminated on the territory of the landfill, since in the total volume of solid waste there is only about 24% of useful secondary raw materials that are recyclable. Everything else is illiquid waste, creating biogas, which constantly provokes the ignition of garbage.Work at the landfill is carried out around the clock, about 150 tons of garbage are imported per day. In addition, there is a constant recycling of solid waste, which has accumulated in tons for many years. In total, about 400 million tenge has been invested in the company. There are 70 people working at the garbage collection company, 21 at the landfill.Today it is a complex enterprise that carries out work on receiving, sorting, storing waste, collecting and exporting solid household waste from legal entities and individuals, isolating them, dumping them in order to minimize harm to the surrounding ecosystem, ensuring and improving the comfort of living conditions for citizens. The company takes an active part in the campaign "Taza Kazakhstan".Eco-DUMP LLP is engaged in the export of solid waste from the population of Kokshetau, one of the first to introduce separate waste collection, for this 1000 euro containers were purchased at its own expense. This year, LLP was one of the first in the country to initiate a unique project for the construction of 3 waste sorting and waste processing complexes in Kokshetau, Burabay and Zerendinsky districts with a total capacity of 150 thousand tons per year. A pilot project on separate collection, purchase of 500 mesh containers and 10 electric garbage trucks will also be implemented in the SHCHBKZ.The project is estimated at 7.2 billion tenge. It is implemented with the financing of JSC "Zhasyl Damu" (70%), through JSC "Industrial Development Fund", as well as within the framework of a PPP with the Akimat of Akmola region (30%). The implementation of the project will create about 200 jobs, and in the future an increase in the share of recycling waste into recyclables, which, accordingly, will reduce the disposal of waste from the population by more than a third of the volume of education in the entire region.Being a socially oriented enterprise, Eco-DUMP LLP has allocated 2 million of its own funds to supply water to the Elite settlement of the Krasnoyarsk agricultural district of Kokshetau. 2 million — for the purchase of greenhouses for School No. 1 .Krasny Yar.During the liquidation of the consequences of floods this year, the company provided assistance in the amount of 2 million tenge for food, the purchase of fuel, special equipment, and another 1.5 million tenge for the purchase of inert materials."The high assessment of our company's activities is the result of the cohesive work of all employees. The field of waste management is one of the most environmentally important. For our team, winning this competition is a huge incentive for further activities," said Mariam Abisheva."We consider the victory of the Akmola company to be natural. The implementation of the innovative project of Eco-DUMP LLP will avoid the construction of new landfills in the region, improve the reclamation of existing landfills. This generally contributes to solving environmental and sanitary-epidemiological problems related to waste recycling," says the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Akmola region.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/aqmola/press/news/details/882032

He reminded the forum participants about our country's ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.The Head of State noted that access to predictable financing and modern technologies is vital to achieve the set goals. He stated that the New Collective Quantitative Climate Finance Target (NCQG) should pay special attention to the regions most vulnerable to climate change, including landlocked developing countries.– Despite the fact that Central Asia accounts for only 1% of global emissions, this region faces numerous climate risks. To increase the effectiveness of measures to respond to climate change, we must actively use advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, satellite monitoring, as well as other digital tools that provide early warning and more effective management of water and land resources," the President said.Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed the importance of the transition to sustainable agriculture. As noted in the speech, Kazakhstan, which has 200 million hectares of agricultural land, is an ideal platform for the introduction of "carbon farming", that is, such methods of agricultural production that reduce emissions and improve soil quality. He invited interested parties to explore the potential of Kazakhstan in this industry.– Our country provides 43% of the world's uranium supplies and plays a significant role in the development of low-carbon nuclear energy. In October of this year, the citizens of Kazakhstan supported the construction of a nuclear power plant in a national referendum. We strive to ensure the safety and effectiveness of this project through partnership with world technological leaders in the field of energy," the Head of State noted.Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also focused on the problem of global water resources.– Climate change is already having a serious impact on the global water cycle. Natural disasters related to water account for more than 80% of all natural disasters. This year, Kazakhstan has faced unprecedented floods. For rapid response in the future and recovery after such emergencies, we are implementing a comprehensive risk management system. In order to update the water agenda, Kazakhstan, in partnership with France, will hold One Water Summit in December this year. The participants of this forum will discuss the problems of global water resources management. Today, the Caspian Sea is under threat. Saving the largest lake in the world is our common problem that requires long–term international cooperation. We support the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev to create a Group of experts from the Caspian states. At the same time, Kazakhstan is taking concrete steps to preserve the Aral Sea, the President added. At the end of his speech, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for organizing the summit and the successful chairmanship of Azerbaijan at COP 29. The transfer of the time zone did not affect the energy consumption of Kazakhstan 16.11.2024
The energy system of Kazakhstan demonstrates high stability and efficiency, despite the change in the time zone. The recent transition to a single time zone has not led to significant changes in electricity consumption schedules. As you know, electricity consumption in the country is directly related to the daily rhythm of life of the population. Peak loads occur in the morning and evening hours, when consumption increases due to the activation of vital processes.Previously, the transfer of time back by one hour did not cause any disruptions in the operation of the power system or restrictions for consumers. An analysis of data for January-September 2023 and 2024 shows a steady increase in electricity consumption at the level of 4%. This growth is due to a natural increase in consumption of the population and the economy of the country as a whole, and not changes in time zones. For example, consumption in the Western Zone of the EEC increased by 10.4% compared to the same period last year, where the transfer of administrative time back one hour was not carried out. Thus, in general, the import of electric energy increased after the introduction of the mechanism of a Single buyer of electric energy, as it became possible to organize planned flows of electricity from neighboring countries in order to cover the deficit during peak hours and allowed for major repairs of all major power plants in the country in accordance with the planned repair periods.Source : https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/energo/press/news/details/881989
